Meet the team
Phill Kenny – Owner, Personal Trainer & Fitness Instructor
As an experienced, fully qualified personal fitness trainer and instructor, Phill has worked in fitness and bootcamp centres around the world. He has more than 10 year’s experience teaching and instructing in his own gym and wellness centre. Phill compiles the initial health assessments and the daily fitness regimes. Furthermore, after camp has finished he will keep in touch to provide help, encouragement and motivation. Offering extra support (if required) in order to help you stay focused on achieving your ultimate goal.
“Since I was a teenager, I have always been involved in fitness training and playing sports. I played rugby union professionally (fortunate enough to be in the England squad in my younger days), played Sunday morning football, and played for our local village cricket team. With my wife Paula, I was involved in the set-up and creation of a large gym and fitness centre and it’s this that inspired us to open Le Manoir Bootcamp. I love meeting the clients at the start of their fitness or weight loss journey, making new friends along the way and seeing them achieve their personal goals.
I also enjoy making my classes fun and challenging, encompassing people with different fitness levels and helping them feel comfortable and confident enough to join in with the rest of the group. With greater confidence and self-esteem, these people don’t just achieve more in the gym, but in all areas of their life. And that is a joy to see”. – Phil Kenny, owner

I have a diploma in business management and also in Nutrition and Dietetics.
Living in France and opening Le Manoir Bootcamp gives me the perfect opportunity to face new challenges and explore the stunning French countryside, the culture and cuisine.
As well as Phill, my constant companion, assisting me in my challenges, is Ruby, our Border Collie. So there is never a dull moment in my life.“

About Lobke
“I have worked with people from all over the world for more than two decades. Everyone is unique, and I really enjoy finding the right triggers to support you in your challenges. I focus on facilitating healthy patterns rather than denying unhealthy ones by explaining – in simple terms – what nutrition and exercise do within your body.
I have extensive experience in the medical rehabilitation field and understand that the body and mind are not separate entities. Our digestive system strongly interacts with our mood and energy levels. So a healthy diet is a tool for greater well-being. There is no blueprint for good and bad food intake, just like there is no user manual for what makes you happy.“
Lobke provides group sessions to increase general understanding of nutrition, as well as one-to-one sessions to dive into your personal eating patterns.
If you could use some support on your journey to better health, contact Paula to book your sessions with Lobke in advance or spontaneously during your stay (subject to availability).
